Tenue de soirée
THEMA Design & Art Fair, Paris
On the occasion of THEMA, Sandra Benhamou takes over an abandoned boudoir on the second floor of a Parisian hôtel particulier. The space, with its outdated, frozen-in-time decor, seems to be waiting for something to happen— music to arrive, energy to emerge.
Sandra Benhamou showcases the latest pieces from her collection here, with a particular focus on the Pierre lamp, featured in a dedicated yet understated installation. The lamp stands out for its deliberate simplicity, even a certain austerity, highlighted by the decor.
Guest artist Inès Mélia presents her poetic sculptural works, creating witty dialogues that engage with the theme of the exhibition.
It’s unclear whether this is the beginning or the end of an impromptu party, or whether the space is emptying or filling. There is a shared sense of tender nostalgia for moments of grace, alongside the ever-renewed hope for encounters, light, and dance.
