Paris

2021

This 280 m² apartment has been completely restructured for a family returning to Paris after a 20-year stay in New York. Haussmannian codes are both enhanced and contrasted by lines, colors, and textures drawn from the 70s and 80s, Brazilian design, and contemporary painting.

Imposing and framed by a trompe-l’œil mirror opening, the entrance retains its original size. The reception rooms have been combined to create a spectacular space dominated by the centerpiece: a kitchen designed like a jewel, made of aged nickel, stainless steel, and Scabas travertine.

Patinated brass, stained glass, rosewood, aged mirrors, collectible pieces, custom furniture, sculptures by Philolaos… balancing warmth and coolness, angles and curves, matte and shine, rigor and softness, the project finds its elegance and accuracy in a highly controlled equilibrium.
