Hôtel Belloy

Exclusive concept of Senior Housing

2018

In the 1870s, the Hôtel des Étrangers became a haven for artists and poets in the Latin Quarter: Rimbaud, Verlaine, and, decades later, Cocteau and Man Ray were regulars there.
Sandra Benhamou draws inspiration from this literary and romantic history, from Belle Époque interiors and the lines of Jean Royère, to transform the 50-room hotel, now renamed Belloy.
For the first time, she designs almost everything: the bar-library, sofas, headboards, wardrobes, wall lights, door handles… and the Dolly armchair, which has become an iconic piece in her furniture collection.
This project provided the opportunity to initiate collaborations with artisans such as Solène Eloy, and renowned manufactures .
Curves and velvet, marble mosaic, verre églomisé, patterns and silks, braided leather—all come together in abundance. Designed like free verse, as a journey through Paris.
