In the Mood for Love
The Invisible Collection Gallery, London
The imprint of a pattern, a journey, a fleeting encounter, a trace of scent, a glimmer of light. The precision of a curve – nape, shoulder, profile, traces of beauty. In the dim light, Sandra Benhamou captures the brief passage of clarity, a muted softness, a distant warmth, a silence heavy with meaning, a few lingering notes. With a painting by Gideon Rubin and the cinematic echoes of Wong Kar-Wai, she takes over the space of The Invisible Collection in London.
There, she constructs a landscape of subdued tones and commanding lines— a place that has wandered through time, collecting stories along the way. Textiles, wood, and metals stand in dialogue, complementing, respecting, merging.
The interior architect and designer transforms the space, curating a selection of her own collection alongside a carefully chosen mix of vintage pieces and designs from The Invisible Collection catalog. The whole is both free and precise, expansive and refined, nostalgic and full of longing.
