Les Étoiles et les Fleurs
Paris
Paris. Beneath the arcades of Place des Vosges. Number 6. Maison Victor Hugo.
A garden. Trees. A fountain. An ancient bench.
Invited by Paris Design Week, and in partnership with Maison Métaphores, Sandra Benhamou gently settles into one of the city’s most beautiful hidden treasures.
Sheltered by a light fabric canopy, the architect and designer places a selection of pieces from her furniture collection: The Annetta daybed and Dolly stools, upholstered in Métaphores outdoor fabrics. The Marcel chess table in stone. The Luna console in glazed lava stone.
The space feels both open and introspective — indoors and out,
here and elsewhere, as if adrift in a daydream. Here, perhaps, Victor Hugo might have read, written, drawn, or debated.
And together, with him. «Spared the furious blare of bugles.»
