As de Rêve
Paris
Galerie Dina Vierny welcomes Sandra Benhamou on 36 rue Jacob for an exhibition conceived as a subtle interplay between design, decorative arts, and major twentieth-century artworks.
Sandra composes a fragmented and multilayered portrait of the feminine figure, unfolding across time, materials, and line. Her work interacts with a selection of pieces from the collections of Galerie Dina Vierny and Galerie Chenel, brought together around a limited edition of the Dolly armchair, developed in collaboration with Passementerie Verrier. The project pays tribute to Dina — the inspiring grandmother of the brothers who lead the gallery today — and to Dolly, Sandra’s own grandmother, after whom she named the now-iconic armchair.
The exhibition takes its title from the Jeu de Marseille, invented by the Surrealists — a symbolic universe of signs and shadows where, like the sirens and spirits it invokes, love and dream continue to breathe at the heart of a troubled era.
The presentation includes works by Aristide Maillol, Henri Matisse, Robert Couturier, On Kawara, Judit Reigl, Serge Poliakoff, Camille Bombois, and Jean Degottex, alongside a selection of pieces designed by Sandra Benhamou.
