Tourgéville

2023

A fairytale house on the heights of Deauville. Created by Jean-Luc Bonnet, the English garden overlooks the sea. A Soul sculpture by Ugo Rondinone is placed in the grass. The construction materials and techniques are traditional: half-timbering, plaster, brick, tile.

Drawing on references from Anglo-Norman Art Deco, Sandra Benhamou has blended into this home as one falls in love: naturally, completely. The family-friendly and elegant atmosphere of its origins remains intact, yet it no longer feels like a classic country house. Stainless steel complements precious wood, a conservatory hosts a large dining table, and the living room has gained a sense of grandeur without losing its comforting character. The volumes have been adapted with finesse. The use of old-time codes and materials supports a streamlined design.
